South Central Chapter Film Series: Reversing Roe

November 4, 2019 @ 7:30 pm

Forty-five years after it revolutionized abortion law in America, the landmark 1973 U.S. Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade is once again at a crossroads. In this timely new documentary, filmmakers Ricki Stern and Annie Sundberg present an illuminating look at the state of reproductive rights in America. Join the ACLU-PA South Central Chapter for a screening of “Reversing Roe” and be enthralled by what’s unfolding across the nation.

The film offers candid and riveting interviews with key figures from both sides of the divide. Drawing from a wealth of historical footage, it charts the period leading up to the Roe decision—and documents the opposition that has followed ever since.

Following the screening, ACLU-PA Legislative Associate Marianne Stein will lead a discussion. Closed captions will be available, and an ASL interpreter will be on-site during the post-film discussion.

Come early to enjoy dinner or a drink at Zoetropolis’s delicious new restaurant! Refreshments can also be purchased at the theater.
The event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited, so an RSVP is required. To RSVP, email your name and the number of tickets needed to hbginfo@aclupa.org.
