Most Voters with Mail Ballot Mistakes Cast Qualified Ballot
A new analysis by ACLU-PA found that a majority of voters who made disqualifying error on their mail ballot packet either cured the mistake so their ballot would count or voted by provisional ballot at the polls on Election Day 2024.
Implementing Harm Reduction in Pennsylvania's Community Supervision Systems is a research report published by the ACLU of Pennsylvania and Elevyst. The report examines how a harm reduction lens can be adopted by adult probation and parole departments to better serve individuals under community supervision, particularly those with substance use related offenses, in Pennsylvania. The report also finds that reducing confinement, terminating probation sentences earlier, and increasing mental health supports decreased recidivism citing academic research, case studies and legislation in York County as well as other states.
