House Bill 163 repeals Pennsylvania's automatic driver's license suspension for drug-related offenses, in addition to other non-drug related convictions - many of which disproportionately affect juveniles - such as carrying false identification, underage purchase of tobacco, and underage purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of alcohol. A concurrent resolution, House Resolution 76, would notify the federal government of PA's intent to repeal this statute in order to avoid jeopardizing federal highway funding.
