Sophia Schiaroli joined the ACLU of Pennsylvania in March 2025. Before joining the ACLU-PA, she built her own brand as a Philadelphia lifestyle content creator specializing in LGBTQ+ experiences, community building, and advocacy. Through this work, she became a political correspondent for Keystone Newsroom and uses her platform to advocate for progressive initiatives.
She is also the founder of Cherry, an app for queer women and trans communities coming out in 2025, and Gay Girls+, a national network that helps queer people find community and connection.
Sophia obtained a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Leadership with a specialization in LGBTQ+ communities from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice in 2024. She also earned her undergraduate degree from Penn in Political Science and Chemistry. Originally from Reading, PA, she now calls Philadelphia home and is currently training for her first marathon in 2025. (Philadelphia)
