ACLU-PA Sues U. of Pittsburgh Over Student Group Suspension
The ACLU of Pennsylvania has filed a lawsuit against the University of Pittsburgh over the school's suspension of its Students for Justice in Palestine chapter in apparent retaliation for criticisms that the group made of the university.
A robust dialogue has risen up about police practices—stop-and-frisk, broken windows, the biased implementation of the War on Drugs—which have led to both unnecessary deaths and, thankfully, to the “social death” of mass incarceration.
