The ACLU of Pennsylvania often provides speakers for educational events, panels, conferences, school programs, and know-your-rights trainings. We have an active speakers' bureau consisting of attorneys, community leaders, ACLU-PA staff, and board members who are well versed in a variety of civil liberties topics, including (but not limited to):

  • Bill of Rights
  • Free speech
  • Immigrants' rights
  • LGBTQIA+ rights
  • Police practices
  • Religious liberty
  • Reproductive freedom
  • Privacy & security
  • Student & youth rights
  • Voting rights

In arranging for a speaker, it is helpful to call or email at least six weeks in advance to ensure that we can find you a speaker. We do not charge for speakers, although honoraria or reimbursement for traveling expenses are gratefully accepted.

To arrange for a speaker, please fill out this form with the following information:

  1. What organization/school is requesting the speaker? 
  2. What date is the event? 
  3. What time is the event? 
  4. What is the location of the event? (If virtual, please include the appropriate link if available.)
  5. What specifically would you like the speaker to cover? 
  6. Will this be a panel discussion, and if so, who else will be speaking? 
  7. What is the expected length of the talk? 
  8. What is the expected attendance? 
  9. Will the event be free and open to the public?
  10. Who do you expect the audience to be?
  11. How do you plan to promote this event?
