The ACLU of Pennsylvania often provides speakers for educational events, panels, conferences, school programs, and know-your-rights trainings. We have an active speakers' bureau consisting of attorneys, community leaders, ACLU-PA staff, and board members who are well versed in a variety of civil liberties topics, including (but not limited to):
- Bill of Rights
- Free speech
- Immigrants' rights
- LGBTQIA+ rights
- Police practices
- Religious liberty
- Reproductive freedom
- Privacy & security
- Student & youth rights
- Voting rights
In arranging for a speaker, it is helpful to call or email at least six weeks in advance to ensure that we can find you a speaker. We do not charge for speakers, although honoraria or reimbursement for traveling expenses are gratefully accepted.
To arrange for a speaker, please fill out this form with the following information:
- What organization/school is requesting the speaker?
- What date is the event?
- What time is the event?
- What is the location of the event? (If virtual, please include the appropriate link if available.)
- What specifically would you like the speaker to cover?
- Will this be a panel discussion, and if so, who else will be speaking?
- What is the expected length of the talk?
- What is the expected attendance?
- Will the event be free and open to the public?
- Who do you expect the audience to be?
- How do you plan to promote this event?
