Election Day is just around the corner! If you’re planning to make your voice heard on November 5, 2024, here’s what you need to know to ensure your vote counts.
Are You Eligible to Vote?
To be eligible to vote in Pennsylvania, you need to meet a few requirements:
- Age: You must be at least 18 years old on Election Day.
- Citizenship: You need to be a U.S. citizen for at least one month before the election.
- Residency: You should have lived in Pennsylvania and your specific precinct for at least 30 days prior to the election.
Register to Vote
Before you can cast your vote, don’t forget to register! The deadline for registration is October 21, 2024. You can easily check your registration status or register online at vote.pa.gov. If you prefer a paper form, you can find registration forms at your local post office or public library.
Do You Need an ID?
If this is your first time voting at your polling place, you’ll need to show an ID. This ID can be a photo or non-photo identification. Some accepted forms include:
