HB 711 would require the PA Department of State to establish a campaign finance reporting system that allows candidates and political committees the option to file online. The bill would also create a standardized process for filing and contingency plans with clearly outlined rules for e-filing. This is a commonsense upgrade to PA's campaign finance filing and disclosure system, which would increase transparency while decreasing bureaucratic inefficiencies.
