ACLU-PA Position: Opposes
As filed, HB 1555 would have reformed how long Pennsylvanians stay on probation, eliminated some of the most burdensome conditions of probation, and reduced the amount of time served in prison for probation violations. But as amended, HB 1555 P.N. 3006 unravels all those reforms and in some cases, makes the probation system in Pennsylvania worse.
